Homme House is a living family home and country house wedding venue loved and cared for by the family who own it – Jocelyn, and her son and daughter-in-law Charlie and Sarah. Set in beautiful Herefordshire countryside with views of the Malvern Hills, Homme is offered as an exclusive use home for elegant, private wedding celebrations, with all proceeds directed to the ongoing restoration and conservation of the house and its surrounding gardens, 110 acres of parkland and 80 acres of woodland.
Our approach is not that of a commercial wedding venue, rather one of a welcoming private family home. We look after all of our couples ourselves with the flexibility to choose any caterer and arrange all of the drinks for the wedding day without corkage. We have accommodation for up to 34 on site in beautiful bedrooms across 3 spaces, with much of the furniture and furnishings upholstered or created by Sarah, who has retrained as a professional upholsterer.
Continuous family links at Homme stretch back to the 1570s. Our ongoing sustainability journey reflects this continuity – careful custodianship with thoughtful decision making at its heart, conscious of consequences for the long term. Ultimately we work to care for and nurture the place we call home and its surrounding Herefordshire context, in the hope we will leave both a little better than we found them.
