Edible, eco-friendly wedding favours your guests won’t leave behind

Oct 5, 2022

Favours aren’t a must have at a wedding, but are a great way to say a little thank you to your guests for joining you on your big day. Making them edible means they’re practical and can eco-friendly too.  We know from experience, edible goodies rarely get left behind! Whether it’s s quick treat for now or to take home, they tend to go down a storm.

Treat your guests to something you love, pick a favour that’s fun and reflects your personalities and wedding style.

We’ve included some of our favourites below. However if you’re looking for something more bespoke, let us know. We love a challenge, especially when it’s the edible kind!

1. Lovely Lollypops

Who doesn’t love a lollypop? We love these heart shaped beauties from the definitive lollipop guru, Willow and Boo. There are so many options to choose, and if you still cant find what you’re looking for they offer a bespoke option, matching each lollypop to your style, theme or stationery.

2. Beautiful brownie bites

Who doesn’t love a brownie?  Whether it’s double chocolate, raspberry and white chocolate or biscoff, you just can’t beat them. And the best thing about brownies is they’re so easy to make yourself. But if you don’t have the time, or baking isn’t your thing, ask your local bakery if they can make you a wedding day batch, or order online from one of the brownie postal services.

3. Honey pots and dippers

We were recently gifted a miniature jar of honey from the lovely Kate at Queen Bee Bridal. The honey is harvested from the Mapledurham Estate, home to her sustainable bridal boutique. Kate’s honey isn’t available to buy at the moment, so if you’re looking for quality, British honey, you can’t go wrong with Keeprs | britishhoney.co.uk.

Little jars, complete with honey dippers make the perfect favour for sweet-toothed guests.

4. DIY cocktails

The lovely Joe and Ethan (brothers) have curated a fantastic collection of cocktail kits. As far as favours go, they are a bit more costly than most (upwards of £20), but if you’re having a smaller celebration then these are a winner! There are 18 kits to choose from and I’m sure if you asked, they’d be happy to create something bespoke. The boys also run mobile bars, so if you’re looking for a bar company for your wedding day they can do that too!

5. Macarons

These french classics are a tasty little treat that can any colour of the rainbow, with a chocolate, cream or jam based filling.  Our favourite is the classic salted caramel. What flavour would you choose?

Bring them out with coffee instead of petit fours, or give them as gifts in individual eco-friendly favour boxes.
