Nestled in the heart of Gloucester City, Blackfriars Priory is a historic landmark of great significance. The site houses the Scriptorium, which is believed to be the oldest standing purpose-built library in Northern Europe and original 13th century oak beams in the rare scissor-braced roof, which was gifted by King Henry III.
